Chapter One is an introduction to the origin of this research, including researchbackground, rationale, significance, methodology and the organization of the thesis.The author tries to explain why this text is adopted in this research and why thisresearch is worthwhile.Then Chapter Two is a literature review, which includes a detailed introductionof studies concerning The Romance of the Western Chamber, traveling theory andtextual travel at home and abroad to figure out what have been achieved and what canbe further explored.Chapter Three is the theoretical framework, in which the relative statements onthe contents of the traveling theory and textual travel are listed. And before giving thetheoretical basis of this thesis, the author provides working definitions of the themeof the thesis, i.e. travel and textual travel. The author of this dissertation also tells thereaders the framework of this thesis in details.
